Chobham Business Club

The Chobham Business Club has been meeting for 33 years. Chairman & Fundraiser: Tricia Matthews has been on the Committee for 31 of these years and is joined on the Committee by Vice Chairman: Richard Whittington from Brooks & Partners in Frimley, Treasurer: Keith Ford from Ford Bentall in Chobham and Joint Membership Secretaries: Sharon Knowles from Fenns Equestrian in West End and Charlotte Newbury from Rockwood Construction. The objective of the Club is to enable Chobham business people to meet and discuss matters for the mutual benefit of members, the business community and the village as a whole as well as raising funds for local worthwhile causes and Charities. A list of charities that have received donations over the years may be found in the directory on page 20 and the Chobham Business Club has been making donations every year since 1983 to the current day.

Every month Members and Guests meet for lunch and dinner at one of the member restaurants listed in the Chobham Business Club Directory, this includes venues with dates for the current year, dates are shown on page 9 of the directory and on this website so if anyone would like to come along to a function, please contact Vice-Chairman Richard Whittington.

Anyone who lives, works or has a connection to Chobham may join Chobham Business Club. The application form for membership can be found in the Chobham Business Club Directory on page 32 and if you wish to join please print out the form from the directory on this website and return to either Sharon Knowles or Charlotte Newbury, address is on the Membership Form. To-date we have in excess of 110 members.

The Directory is also available in print format and is distributed to all members and businesses in Chobham, it can also be found in various outlets in Chobham and villages in the surrounding area.

The founders of Chobham Business Club started The Chobham Carnival some 32 years ago and later handed it over to the current Chobham Carnival Association who run the Carnival separately and it is still ongoing to this present day and has grown tremendously. The Carnival takes place in the village the first Bank Holiday in May and Chobham Business Club sponsor the May Queen Float and judge all the other floats in the procession.
